Alessandra Del Giudice was born in 1988 in San Severo (FG). She earned the bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2011 and the master's degree in Chemistry (Inorganic-Physical Chemistry course) in 2013, at Sapienza University of Rome. She received her PhD in Chemical Sciences in December 2016 at the same university, where she was postdoctoral research fellow since 2017, and fixed-term researcher since 2022.
Her PhD work focused on the application of scattering techniques and optical spectroscopies for the study of protein processes as unfolding and oligomerization. This included visiting periods at Lund University. Her current research interests comprise also the structural characterization of soft matter systems formed by the self-assembly of amphiphilic molecules. During her research Alessandra had the chance to take part in several small-angle X-ray scattering experiments with synchrotron radiation.
In addition, Alessandra gives technical assistance and scientific support for running the SAXSlab Sapienza facility which allows users to perform in-lab small/wide angle X-ray scattering measurements.
