Biography
Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry, Coordinator of Undergraduate and Master Studies in Chemistry, Member of the Board of the Doctorate in Chemical Sciences, Member of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI); Past-Coordinator of the Interdivisional Organometallic Group (GICO) of the Italian Chemical Society. Chair of the 'COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) "Supramolecular Chemistry in Water", 2011-2015. Since 2002 she is the coordinator of a bilateral project between the 'University of Jyväskylä (Finland) and this University. Her field of research is Organic Chemistry, actually Supramolecular Chemistry, focusing the attention on the factors that enable host-guest molecular recognition processes based on weak non covalent interactions. She is the author of c.a 80 publications on international journals, including three reviews, 5 book chapters comprizing the one entitled "Ion Pair Receptors" for the encyclopedia of "Supramolecular Chemistry: from Molecules to Nanomaterials", JW Steed and P. A. Gale (eds), John Wiley & Sons Ltd, Chichester, UK, published in 2012.
