Research activity
Research activity:
The research activity of Maria Cristina Campa concerns the study of surface properties and heterogeneous catalysis, specifically the correlation between surface structure and catalytic activity. Main aspects of this research are: (a) the catalytic activity study of transition metal ions either dispersed in oxide solid solutions or supported on various oxides; (b) the catalytic activity study of zeolites exchanged with transition metal ions for the NO and N2O abatement with hydrocarbons in the presence of oxygen; (c) the study of various transition metals supported on tetragonal or monoclinic ZrO2 as catalysts for the Partial Oxidation of Methane to syngas; (d) the characterization by means of various techniques (mainly FTIR) of surface species formed during adsorption and catalysis.
