Since 2020 Maria Luisa Astolfi is Researcher - Assistant Professor (fixed term) of Analytical Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of Sapienza University of Rome. She has achieved the National Scientific qualification as Associate and Full Professor in the Italian higher education system, for the disciplinary field of 03/A1 - Analytical Chemistry. She graduated in Chemistry in 2005 at La Sapienza. In 2009 she attained the Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. Her researches are focused on the development of new analytical methods in the environmental, analytical, and bioanalytical field based on spectroscopic techniques. In particular, she develops innovative approaches for the elemental characterization of environmental and biological complex matrices such as food, air, water, urine, feces, hair, breast milk, serum, animal, and plant tissues. The results of her research (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9633-8484) are published on 85 papers on international scientific journals with impact factor. Dr. Astolfi is a member of the Editorial Board of several international journals and she is currently Guest Editor of different special topics.
