Paola D'Angelo Ph.D in Chemisrty is Full Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Rome Sapienza. She is a Junior research fellow of the Scuola Superiore di Studi Avanzati of the University of Rome Sapienza. Her main areas of research include X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, Coordination and Solution Chemistry, Nuclear Chemistry. In the period 2009-2015 she was a member of the Executive Committee of the International X-Ray Absorption Society and she is currently Secretary and Treasurer of the same Society. Since 2017 she is a member of the Executive Committee of SILS (Società Italiana Luce di Sincrotrone). She is a member of the Review Commitee "Hard condensed matter Structures" at the Elettra Synchrotron Facility of Trieste and since 2018 she is a member of the Review Commitee C11 at European Shyncrothron Radiation Facility (ESRF) of Grenoble . She earned an award from Enimont for the degree curriculum. Her Ph.D thesis won the award "Federchimica - per un futuro intelligente". In 2003 she won the "Scientist Award" of the International XAFS Society. She is Assocaite Editor of the journal Radiation Physics and Chemistry (Elsevier). She is author/co-author of approximately 150 articles published in international journals with peer reviewing and is was invited speaker in more than 50 national and international congerences.
