Electrospray Deposition for Biosensing Line of research The ESI technique uses a low concentration solution of the molecule of interest, which is 'nebulized' through the use of appropriate electric fields, forming a gas of molecular ions that can be guided and appropriately focused. An innovative use of this technique consists in depositing enzymes, proteins and antibodies on suitable supports, preserving their activity and therefore making them usable to create biosensors.
