Analysis of nutraceutics through green separitive techniques Line of research This research line focuses on the optimization and development of methods for the determination of nutraceutical compounds such as antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, plant sterols, etc. in functional foods and supplements using green techniques such as capillary electrophoresis (CE) in different working modes. This technique is advantageous compared to the classic separation techniques for low sample consumption, and negligible use of solvents in favor of buffer aqueous solutions. Furthermore, it is characterized by a remarkable speed of execution and low cost of analysis.
